Guarding Monitoring Technologies (Pty) Ltd. (GMT), was established in 2017 and operates in the Security Industry. The business specialises in the provision of unarmed guarding services at residential and commercial facilities in line with its clients’ needs.
Mr Gerhard Lindeque, the founder of GMT, has over 27 years of expansive experience in the security industry and founded the company to offer and bring a fresh perspective to the security industry. He has been working in the security industry since 1991 and has worked for some of the biggest security companies in Gauteng, with experience in guarding, armed response, anti-hijacking and violent crimes. He is also an internationally qualified tactical firearm instructor and training manager from basic firearm to full tactical firearm training for some of the biggest companies, as well as the South African Police Department.
GMT is a client-focused and result driven private security company, priced at the mid-to-upper range of the normal Industry in line with clients’ needs while concurrently remaining within the letter of the law in all the Company’s conduct.

Services
Scope of services we provide:
Service 1: Un-Armed Security Guards GMT primarily offers un-armed security guarding services, used primarily amongst commercial and residential properties/estates/townhouses that have security requirements, but do not need anything beyond a person that can act in a security guard capacity should the business need it. These guards do not carry firearms, but are licensed and trained on how to handle security related matters.
Service 2: Monitoring Comprising of the installation, maintenance and service of electronic security equipment including access control, CCTV, electric fencing, gate automation, alarm systems, etc, and security monitoring software to monitor these devices. GMT offers a wide range of technical services, providing a comprehensive electronic security solution for clients’ corporate security solution requirements or home security system requirements. GMT has a team that specializes in the installation and maintenance of electronic security equipment, data cabling, theft protection, wireless long range networks and off site surveillance specialties.
